My Alchemic Spring Reset
There's a moment each spring, here on the Peninsula, when the air changes before anything else does. The light softens, the mornings smell of damp earth and new growth, and something in me — something old, something that remembers every spring before this one — starts to stir.
In alchemy, spring isn't simply a season. It's an instruction. It is the element of Air awakening after Winter's stillness, the exhale after months of held breath. And just as the land renews itself, so too must we.
This year has felt like a long hibernation from my alchemy ways. Setting up our clinic, RegenWise, has taken so much of my time, leaving so little for my rituals, my natural flow with the seasons. A long winter for my Atelier — workshop, in French — it's been quiet, but it was a needed silence, a still space to build our new studio lab alongside our regenerative medicine clinic. And just like perfect alchemic timing, we are reborn in spring — with a new blog post, new events, and new projects that make my heart sing.

A reset, not a routine overhaul
I'm not going to tell you to throw out your winter skincare and start again — that's wasteful, and waste has never been my philosophy. A true reset is subtler than that. It's about listening to what your skin is asking for now that the cold, dry months have passed.
Ask yourself:
Does my skin feel congested, as though it's still wearing its winter coat?
Has my complexion lost its lustre under the weight of richer creams?
Am I craving lighter textures, brighter scents, more air?
If the answer is yes, your skin is simply doing what the garden does — shedding what no longer serves it, making room for new growth.
The alchemic approach to renewal
In Spanish Alchemic tradition, every transition is guided by synergy — never by force. Spring calls for formulations that awaken circulation, lighten texture, and invite the skin to breathe again. This is where botanical actives earn their keep: gentle exfoliation to release the season's build-up, hydration that feels like mist rather than mask, and aromatic notes that lift the spirit as much as they nourish the skin.
I always say a formula should feel like music — and spring's melody is bright, quick, alive. Think citrus over resin. Petal over root. Lightness over depth.
My spring reset edit
A few things from the studio I reach for myself, this time of year:
Aqua Elixir Serum, Limited Edition Vitamin C Complex — Winter has a way of quietly stealing your glow, and this is the elixir born to answer that. I gathered nature's most generous vitamin C botanicals into one concentrated, silky gel-serum — brightening, evening tone, gently exfoliating with natural fruit AHAs — layered over the original Aqua Elixir's spagyric alchemy of gem-rhythmified tinctures. It works with your skin's overnight renewal cycle, so you wake to a complexion that finally looks like spring, not winter's last echo.

Radiance Rituals — choose your ritual:
Oasis of Calm — for sensitive, reactive skin needing gentle cleansing and comfort.
Antioxidants Rescue — for skin wanting youthful radiance and a nourishing, rose-scented boost.
Pure Clear Glow — for congested or oily skin needing a deep, purifying detox — my pick for a true spring clear-out.
Our mists, Mist of Roses & Dew Drops — both are essential to awaken, tone and refresh the skin after cleansing, but each has its own character: Mist of Roses wraps you in precious Bulgarian rose hydrosol, gold-standard and deeply comforting; Dew Drops carries a fine basket of fruit and flower extracts to refine pores and revitalise. Keep either in the fridge for a cooling spring pick-me-up.
Translucent Bronzing Tint (Dr Hauschka) — for that last, easy touch of colour. A natural warmth across the cheeks, chin and hairline, applied with a light hand — no mask, just a hint of sun before the sun has properly arrived.
Behind the scenes in the lab
This is the time of year I love most in the studio — small batches of fresh botanicals arriving, the lab filled with the scent of citrus and blossom rather than winter's warmer resins. Every reset formula I create begins here, with what the season itself offers, wild-harvested or organic whenever I can find it, and made fresh — never sitting in a warehouse waiting for its moment.
A gentle invitation
You don't need a twelve-step spring ritual. You need permission to pause, to notice what your skin — and your spirit — are asking for, and to respond with intention rather than habit. That's the whole of alchemy, really: paying attention, then responding with care.
And speaking of gentle invitations — we're opening the studio doors for our first intimate Spring Reset event for locals, with make-up tutorials included. Details to come soon — subscribe to be the first to know.
Wishing you a light, bright, beautifully renewed season.
